About the event
As part of the Alger Conservation District's Native Plant Sale, Vern Stephens will be returning to present his popular workshop on the Why's and How's of Native Plants. Vern has been involved in native plants since before they were trendy and has owned and operated a native plant nursery for over 25 years. Prior to operating the nursery, Vern held the position of Senior Wildlife Assistant for the Michigan DNR Wildlife Division where his work specialized in grasslands and invasive species management.

Pick up orders June 8, 2024, at the Alger Fairgrounds starting at 9:30, or after the presentation until noon.
The native plant workshop begins at 10:30. There will be time to shop the pop-up plant shop after the presenation.
